What can you use a QR code for?
QR codes have moved far beyond restaurant menus. Businesses print them on packaging to link straight to product pages, event organizers use them for instant check-in, and freelancers add them to business cards so a single scan saves a contact or opens a portfolio. The Wi-Fi and Contact Card generators above skip manual typing entirely — a guest scans once and connects or saves your details automatically.
Common uses include linking to a website, sharing Wi-Fi credentials without reading out a password, sharing a digital business card at events, or verifying a code someone else printed using the scanner tab.
Tips for a QR code that scans reliably
Keep enough contrast between the code and background colors — dark code on a light background scans fastest, especially from a distance or under bad lighting. If you add a logo, keep it small relative to the code; a logo covering too much of the center can make the code unreadable. For print use, generate at 300px and avoid placing the code smaller than roughly 2×2 cm.
